On Sunday, October 1, 2017, Discovery for Women Initiative will host thousands of women at its bi-annual Women Empowerment Rally. These rallies, which have been holding for more than twenty years, have seen women from various strata across the nation come together to receive inspiration and renewed strength for greater societal impact.
With the theme “You Are Much Stronger Than You Think”, this edition coincides with the country’s Independence Day celebration and is intended to help women find their voice and position for personal advancement and nation building.
Speaking at the event is Leadership and Relationship Expert, Taiwo Odukoya. His commitment to the growth and empowerment of women is mirrored in various outreaches pioneered to tackle the day-to-day social issues of women. Expected at the rally are budding career and professional women as well as those at upper echelons of the corporate world.
Guest compere is the award-winning Nollywood veteran, ‘Joke Silva, while the music artiste is Ada of the ‘Only You Can Do’ fame.
The event, commencing at 2pm prompt, at 12 Industrial Estate Road, Off Town Planning, Ilupeju, Lagos, is free and open to all women.
